Austin Film Festival starts tomorrow, but because of class, I start Friday. Another busy week ahead of me, but this is going to be fun. Who knows? I might run into Johnny Depp.

And Jason Dohring is coming! For those that know me know how much of a HUGE Veronica Mars fan I am. I own all three seasons on DVD and consistently have weekend-long marathons. Logan Echolls is my favorite character on the show. I might faint if he even looks at me. I’ll let you know how that goes because I have an interview scheduled.

Here’s a preview piece about one of the films showing during the festival by two UT alumni. After the interview, I added the film to my schedule. Can’t wait to see it.

Strings seems to win an award at every film festival it’s screened at. At the Tulsa International Film Festival and the Long Island International Film Expo, directors Mark Dennis and Ben Foster won Best Director. At the White Sands International Film Festival and Breckenridge Film Festival, the film won the Audience Award. And the list just goes on. Not bad for these filmmakers’ debut.
